WXC statement on the Coronavirus

Detroit, MI- We at Warrior Xtreme Cagefighting take the safety of our fighters, fans and staff very seriously. It’s always a good idea to observe good hygiene, and at this time to be especially mindful of the following:

  • If you’re sick or suspect that you might be getting sick, please stay home so you don’t share it with others.
  • If you’ve traveled to an area that has the Corona virus, you may want to find out about getting tested and reduce your exposure to others until you get your test results.
  • As the Coronavirus looks to mainly be spread by touching surfaces that have the virus, it’s important to wash your hands regularly, and try not to touch your nose, mouth, or face.
  • If you do cough or sneeze, use a tissue or your inner arm or lift your shirt over your nose and mouth.

It’s also a good idea to keep your immune system strong to help fight infections. We’ll continue to watch for recommendations from the World Health Organization, the Centers for Disease Control, and from local government and authorities. As of this release we have not heard of anything from the Michigan Unarmed Combat Commission, UFC Fightpass or Crystal Gardens about canceling our April 10th show or not allowing fans to attend our event.

We appreciate everyone’s concern and we are exploring every option to ensure our fighters, staff and fans are safe. We will keep everyone posted with the latest information through our website and social media channels if anything changes. Thank you for your time, sincerely the WXC.
