Detroit, MI- Warrior Xtreme Cagefighting and the Ultimate Fighting Championship have reached a two year broadcast deal starting in February 2019. This multi year deal will be for live events to be shown exclusively on UFC Fight Pass. This deal will be for a brand new block of MMA programming for UFC Fight Pass which will be dubbed ‘Warrior Wednesday.’
Warrior Wednesday will showcase five professional MMA bouts on Wednesday evenings. This weekday showcase will coincide with other weekday Fight Pass original shows such as Dana White’s Tuesday night contender series. This new series will feature the WXC live on Fight Pass for the first time. The first show for Warrior Wednesday will be on February 27th, 2019. More information on the first show will be announced in the coming days.
Previously the WXC had been featured as video on-demand events that were available to watch after the live show. The VOD features started with WXC 70 in November of 2017 and will end with WXC 75 on February 1st, 2019. This new deal will be the first non-ppv broadcast agreement for WXC. “We have been working with Fight Pass for over a year and when an opportunity opened up for live shows, we jumped at the chance to be live on Fight Pass.” said WXC Owner & Matchmaker Mike Pedenelli. He continued to say “Fight Pass is the pinnacle for Martial art programming and we are ecstatic to continue our already great relationship with Fight Pass and bring the fans a new way to watch WXC.”
