WXC 72: Inferno moved to Friday June 15th, 2018

Detroit, MI- Due to unforeseen circumstances, WXC 72 has been moved to Friday June 15th, 2018 and will be at the Southgate Civic Center in Southgate, MI. The main event of the evening is still for our Featherweight title up for grabs as Deven ‘Bad News’ Brown (5-2) takes on Justin Jaynes (12-4). Two will enter the WXC steel but only one will exit with gold around their waist.

Justin Jaynes is a former WXC amateur competitor who turned pro in 2013. Originally from Michigan, Jaynes moved out west to Xtreme Couture in Las Vegas to further his development as a pro fighter. Competing at both 155 and 170, Jaynes has won 12 fights as a pro with nine coming by finish. Five have come by knockout and the other four are by submission. A veteran of both Bellator and World Series of Fighting, Jaynes’ last fight was a win in India back in February of this year. Despite never fighting at 145 lbs. pounds as a pro, ‘Guitar Hero’ feels this will be the best weight class for him. With a wealth of experience and big wins over Troy Lamson and Erick Lozano, Jaynes will be ready and fully prepared to add the vacant WXC 145 belt to his collection.

His opponent, Deven Brown returns to the WXC steel after winning his last fight at WXC 69 in July of last year. That performance for Brown was a unanimous decision victory over Josh Visel in a three round war. The bout was also named fight of night and best moment as voted on by WXC fans. That win puts Brown at (5-2) in his pro career and he has now won his last three bouts. While it doesn’t get much better than that for Brown, he will be looking to make a statement once again in this main event bout for a WXC title. Of his five pro wins, the Bushido MMA product has had four come by decision.
