Detroit, MI- A high profile welterweight showdown gets added to WXC 72 Inferno. Former WXC amateur champion Willis ‘Silverback’ Black (3-2) returns to the WXC steel against Dustin ‘BamBam’ Parrish (6-2-1). This will be the first MMA fight for Black since he fought Dequan Townsend at WXC 69 in July of last year. For Parrish, he will be making his second WXC effort after fighting Troy Lamson in the co-main event of WXC 71 earlier this year.
Indiana’s Dustin Parrish will try once again for his first WXC win. In his last fight at WXC 71, he went the distance in a grueling three round affair with Tory Lamson. Though that fight didn’t go his way, he proved he is a tough out for anyone in WXC. With that last bout being at a 165 lbs. catchweight, Parrish will have no problem competing at 170, where five of his nine pro fights in his career have been at so far. In those nine fights, Parrish has only tasted defeat twice and both were by decision. In his six pro wins, four have been finishes with three submissions and one knockout.
Willis Black returns to the WXC steel after losing to current WXC Middleweight champion Dequan Townsend at WXC 69 last July. His only other loss is to current WXC Welterweight champion Evan Cutts. With almost a year away from the cage, Black looks to get back on the winning track and re-insert himself as one of the top welterweights in Michigan. In his three pro wins, Black has finished all of them with two submissions and one knockout to his credit. His only other loss is to current WXC Welterweight champion Evan Cutts.
