Detroit, MI- Coming off the favorite fan moment at WXC 68, ‘The Apache’ Jesse Smitherman (3-0) looks to add champion to his resume as well. That championship will be the WXC amateur lightweight belt and he will have to get by Mike Glen (4-1) to get it. As mentioned, Smitherman had an excellent fight at WXC 68 which was also his debut with the organization. That debut lasted just 18 seconds as he used a head-kick to get a knockout victory over Darius Hardwick. Smitherman has won all three of his amateur bouts by KO and the Bushido MMA product looks to continue that streak at WXC 69.
Speaking of great performances at WXC 68, Mike Glen had one too. The Fuse MMA disciple dispatched Jesse Smith in just 22 seconds by leglock submission. That win runs Glen’s record to (4-1) with three of four victories by finish. This fight will be Glen’s fourth appearance in the WXC steel and he is ready to fight for the belt. Glen and Smitherman are two of best amateur mma fighters in Michigan but only one will be called champion at WXC 69.
