Detroit, MI- Josh ‘That Guy’ Smith (7-5) vs Shawn ‘Tha Quick’ Mack (6-5) is the latest bout added to Warrior Wednesday II. This fight will be contested at a catchweight of 130 lbs. Mack will be making his first WXC appearance since WXC 59 in August of 2015. Smith just had his second WXC fight at Warrior Wednesday I on February 27th.
Looking at ‘Tha Quick’ Shawn Mack, he has been on a tough streak of late, losing his last three. He has taken on some tough competition in those bouts but just hasn’t been able to get the W. Mack is looking to turn things around at Warrior Wednesday. Mack has a wealth of experience, fighting since 2012 and turned pro in 2014. He has ability to beat in anyone in the Mid-West at 125 or 135 having finished all six of his pro wins. Of those he has five submissions and one knockout to his credit. Look for Mack to get back to putting opponents away on March 27th.
As mentioned earlier, ‘That Guy’ just fought at Warrior Wednesday I one month ago. He was able to beat the very game Eric Ramirez in the second with rear-naked choke. Ramirez took the fight one day notice and put Smith in a deep knee bar but he was able to fight through that to get his seventh pro win. Smith wanted to get right back so we found him the very game Shawn Mack to face. Smith is now (2-0) in the WXC steel and snapped a two fight losing streak last month. So Smith wants to continue his winning ways at Warrior Wednesday II. Of his seven wins, he has four finishes with three knockout and one submission.
