Detroit, MI- WXC has found its main event for Warrior Wednesday V on July 31st, 2019. It will be a battle of undefeated fighters for the pro flyweight title as Matt Elliott (4-0) will face Juancamilo Ronderos (2-0). This will be the first pro title fight for both fighters and their first main event as professionals as well.
Matt Elliott has been fighting since 2013 as an amateur before turning pro in 2017. So far as a pro he is undefeated and he has finished all of his four pro wins by submission. His lone WXC appearance was at WXC 71 where he got by Mike Johnson with a first round submission. He has yet to fight in 2019 so Elliott will be more than ready to fight on July 31st. He has fought at 135 lbs. but 125 lbs. is the Traverse City native’s natural weight class. Elliott looks to make a name for himself in this WXC title fight and make his opponent take their first career loss.
Juancamilo Ronderos is fighting out of Las Vegas and has been on the MMA scene since 2014. In five years as an amateur, he put up an undefeated record of (9-0) with two submissions and one knockout to his credit. He turned pro this year and has won not once but twice so far with the WXC at Warrior Wednesday I & III. Ronderos has won both fights by decision but has done so in dominating fashion. He is more than ready to fight for his first pro title at Warrior Wednesday V.
