Detroit, MI- WXC is proud to announce the main event for the first ever Warrior Wednesday show on February 27th, 2019. This 155 lbs. bout will feature Austin ‘The Flash’ Tweedy (10-2) vs David ‘Playtime’ Putvin (9-2). Both fighters will be making there WXC debut and this will be the first WXC event to stream live on UFC Fight Pass.
Indiana’s Austin Tweedy is one of the best 155 fighters in the Mid-West. He has only lost once since 2014 and has finished all 10 of his pro victories to date. Most of those finishes are by submission as ‘The Flash’ has eight of them by that method along with two knockouts. The 28 year old Tweedy is looking to add another finish to his resume at Warrior Wednesday and start off 2019 strong.
Much like his opponent, David Putvin is a top 155 fighter in the US and has also finished all nine of his pro wins to date. His resume dates back to 2013 and after two losses in a row starting in March 2016 to February 2017, ‘Playtime’ has rebounded with two straight wins. The 26 year old has eight submission wins and one knockout to his credit. This will be Putvin’s chance to make himself known to the world on UFC Fight Pass come February 27th.
