Detroit, MI- Another fight is now official for the first Warrior Wednesday. A 145 showdown between Adam King (5-2) and Jose Johnson (7-5) will happen on February 27th. Both fighters will be looking to win back to back fights inside the WXC steel.
It’s a quick turn around for SFS fighter Adam King, who just fought at Night of Champions XI on February 1st. King was victorious in that bout defeating the super tough Elijah Cavender by submission. That finish got King his fifth pro win and fourth win by finish. He now has two knockout and two submission wins each. Known more for his striking, King showed a great ground game against Cavender at WXC 75. Look for King to bring a lot of different tools for Johnson on February 1st.
After last fighting for WXC as an amateur in 2016, Jose Johnson returned to the WXC steel as pro at WXC 74. On short notice he faced off against former WXC amateur champion Mike Johnson. With less than two weeks notice, Johnson looked amazing in his WXC return, showcasing devastating hands that helped get him the KO win in November. That win capped off a busy year for Johnson as he went 3-2 in 2018. Now with 12 pro fights under his belt since 2016, Johnson is looking to start 2019 how he ended 2018. In his career Johnson has finished five of his seven wins with four knockouts and one submission.
