Detroit, MI- Due to licensing issues, Deven ‘Bad News’ Brown will be unable to fight Manny Alfaro at WXC 70 in the featherweight division. Filling in for Brown is WXC amateur and professional veteran Drew ‘All Day’ Morais (7-4) out of Fuse MMA. The bout will still be contested at 145 lbs. on November 11th.
Manny Alfaro is (3-1) and coming out of Michigan Top Team. He has not fought since February of 2015 but had two bouts cancelled on him so far in 2017. Thanks to Morais, he still will be able to show what he has been working on over the last two plus years. With that in mind, Alfaro is itching to get back into the cage and compete. Of his three pro wins, two have come by way of knockout.
Morais enters this bout after winning his last three in a row. His last fight might have been his most impressive to date, getting his first pro knockout win and doing it in the first round. He last fought for WXC back in April of last year at WXC 63 and has fought four times as pro inside the WXC steel. In his career, he has finished four of his seven wins with three coming by submission. Coming in on short notice is nothing new for Morais and he has always been a tough out no matter the circumstances. In his 11 pro fights, he has only been finished once.
Doors open at 6pm with the fights starting at 7pm on November 11th. Tickets for WXC 70 can be purchased here and are priced as follows; Bleachers- $30, General Admission- $40, Cageside $65, Front Row- $100, VIP table $700 which can seat up to 10 guests.
