Willis Black took on Evan Cutts for the Welterweight title at WXC 68 after champion Jason ‘The Finisher’ Fischer vacated the title earlier in the evening. ‘Silverback’ started the contest throwing early and often before ‘The Butcher’ caught a kick from Black and took the fight to the ground. Evan rode out the remaining 2 minutes on top to end round one. Black came out quick once again throwing a barrage of punches which lead to the clinch up against the fence. Once in the clinch, Cutts went for a choke and though Black tried his best to roll out of it, Cutts held on tight to get the tap. Officially Cutts wins the Welterweight title via anaconda choke in round two at 1:32. After the win, it was announced Cutts would return to defend his title later this year against Dequan Townsend.
