Detroit, MI- Chris Brown (3-1) will face the ‘Detroit Superstar’ Daron Cruickshank (22-11) at a 155 lbs. bout on April 24th. This will be the first time Cruickshank has fought for the WXC as pro, having competing previously as an amateur. Brown will be making his WXC debut.
Chris Brown comes out of the famous Jackson/Wink gym in New Mexico. Brown started his pro MMA career in 2017 after fighting as an amateur for four years prior. He won his pro debut by submission in December of 2017 and has gone (3-1) while currently riding a two fight winning streak. He looks to continue his momentum into the WXC steel on April 24th. Of his three victories, two are by decision.
Cruickshank will grace the WXC steel for the first time in about 10 years. Since then, he has fought for King of the Cage, UFC, RIZIN FF and help start Michigan Top Team. The 33 year old Cruickshank is looking to get back on the winning track after having a four fight winning streak snapped on New Year’s Eve 2018. Known for his excellent striking and dynamic kicks, the Detroit Superstar is always out to entertain, especially when he will be fighting in metro-Detroit for the first time in a long time. In his 22 pro victories, he has 16 finishes with 14 knockouts and two submissions.
