Detroit, MI- A bantamweight bout has been added to WXC 75: Night of Champions XI on February 1st, 2019. This fight will match up Mario Aguilar (0-2) against Pancho Theuer (2-5). Both fighters are entering this bout on a bit of losing skid but hope the new year will bring turn things around.
Still searching for his first pro win, Aguilar will be competing for the third time as a pro with WXC for this contest. He previously fought on WXC 72 and WXC 74, both of which were in 2018. Even though Aguilar lost both fights, he showed a very well rounded skill set and was for sure in both fights. Having gained that experience and has been fighting full time as a pro since his debut at WXC 72, Aguilar looks to put everything together and get a ‘W’ at WXC 75. Aguilar has not been finished in either of his two pro bouts.
Much like his opponent, Pancho Theuer has also not tasted victory yet inside the WXC steel. Theuer fought three times in 2018 after a two year layoff from MMA. Two of those were with the WXC for WXC 71 & 72. He has proved to be a tough out for any fighter at 135 but hasn’t been able to get his hand raised. Theuer is a jiu-jitsu specialist and has got both of his wins by triangle choke submission. He may need all of his submissions skills to get by Aguilar come February 1st.
