Another big welterweight showdown added to WXC 69, Flowers vs Smyth

Detroit, MI- With an already amazing card set for July 14th, WXC has put some icing on the cake for WXC 69: Illuminate. Coming in from Chicago, Darrius Flowers (2-0-1) puts his undefeated record on the line against Michigan’s own Devin Smyth (4-1). This fight will be at welterweight and is the WXC debut for both fighters.

Despite only being 22 years old, Flowers has racked up a lot of fights between the amateur and pro ranks. Before turning pro four months ago, he had 17 amateur bouts dating back to 2014. In those three years as an amateur, he went (11-5-1) with eight of those wins by finish. So far as a pro, he has won both fights by decision.

Hailing from Lansing, MI ‘The Prodigy’ Devin Smyth has won his last four fights, with three coming by finish. These four wins come after his lone loss, which also was his pro debut in May of 2014. Smyth is also a very young fighter at just 21 years old. These two young guns look to steal the show and make a name for themselves in the ever tough WXC steel.
